The Driver Hour Guard Timers were introduced back in July 2001, since their introduction they have undergone many improvements based simply on requests from Drivers who rely on the product.
Despite the smaller lcd screen, the timer was more than capable of keeping the user legal, warning of impending breaks and ensuring that the correct amount of daily and weekly rest was taken. During the Production Period of July 2001 & June 2005 there were over 66,000 CE01 Timers Sold making it truly the most popular Timer in the UK for Truck Drivers, There are no plans to reintroduce the CE01 DHG, Sadly I feel they are now too out dated

The CE02 DHG was Introduced in February 2006 but due to the very poor business relationship, brewing between myself and the company importing them, Driver Time Solutions Ltd, I left the company in March 2006.
During the Production period of February 2006 and November 2006 there were only 2,000 of the CE02 Driver Hour Guard's manufactured, sadly due to the company Driver Time Solutions not having any experience with the drivers hours legislation, they were doomed to fail after I departed. This was confirmed in March 2007 when their website announced the company had ceased trading. |
After a lot of Persuasion from my good friend Carol Chan, whom I'd initially dealt with in 2000 as she was secretary to the very first manufacturer of the CE01 DHG's, I agreed to work with Carol who now owned her own manufacturing company. Initially it was planned only to manufacture the TS02 DHG seen above right, however, the mold maker who had manufactured the CE02 had a second mold which Driver Time Solutions had not paid for. We duly purchased the mold and decided to use it for the TS01 to sell at the lower end of the market.
The TS02 is truly the best Timer I have ever had the pleasure of being involved with and I do think that to further improve it will take some doing. With the help of Carol and our software writer Simon along with Jason our Electronic whizz kid, we do plan on further improving the timers with the aim of keeping it simply the best Value for money timer in the European market place. |
